Domestic partnership for same-sex couples

Same-sex couples living together in Oregon have the option of  filing a Declaration of Domestic Partnership to define how they will share their resources.  This agreement may not be honored by other states. If the relationship dissolves, it is important to formally terminate the Declaration.  In the absence of such a Declaration, people who cohabit as partners are subject to many of the same “common law” provisions that pertain to heterosexual partnerships.
